Abstract

This research investigates the influence of loneliness on various dimensions of psychological well-being among 102 single women in Jakarta. Findings indicate that loneliness plays a crucial role in shaping personal growth and significantly affects the overall psychological well-being of participants (CI95=[-0.387, -0.149], SE=0.05, t= -4.46, p < 0.001). Through repeated linear regression analyses across dimensions such as Acceptance, Positive Relation with Others, Autonomy, Environmental Mastery, Purpose of Life, and Personal Growth, the study establishes that loneliness consistently and significantly impacts each dimension of single women’s psychological well-being. The issue of loneliness needs attention, especially for unmarried women, so that it can be handled and does not have a negative impact on their psychological well-being.
