Abstract
Research on academic anxiety has predominantly employed quantitative approaches. However, studies that specifically explore the experiences of working students through a qualitative photovoice approach remain limited. This study aims to explore the experiences of working students related to their academic anxiety. Participants consisted of 12 working students who reported experiencing academic anxiety. Data were collected using the photovoice method, in which participants expressed their experiences and perspectives on anxiety through self-taken photographs. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis of both visual and narrative elements. The findings indicate that the academic anxiety of working students stems primarily from time pressure in fulfilling academic and occupational responsibilities. This limited time frame leads to physical and psychological fatigue. The study highlights the importance of institutional support in the form of academic flexibility to reduce psychological stress and anxiety among working students.
