GAMBARAN KESEJAHTERAAN PSIKOLOGIS FAMILY CAREGIVER PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS: SEBUAH STUDI KASUS
Diabetes mellitus merupakan salah satu penyakit degeneratif yang menyebabkan penderitanya membutuhkan bantuan perawatan dari family caregiver. Beban yang ditanggung oleh family caregiver dapat berpengaruh pada kesejahteraan psikologis mereka. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran kesejahteraan psikologis family caregiver pada rentang usia 20-21 tahun yang masih berstatus mahasiswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah tiga individu yang terdiri dari dua wanita dan satu pria. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitataif dengan metode studi kasus. Data pada penelitian ini dihimpun dengan metode wawancara semi-terstruktur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan gambaran kesejahteraan psikologis yang berbeda pada masing-masing subjek. Penelitian ini berhasil menggambarkan dimensi kesejahteraan yang dikuasai mayoritas subjek yakni dimensi personal growth, environmental mastery, posistive relation, dan puspose in life. Namun ada dua dimensi yang mana dari ketiga subjek pada penelitian ini tidak semuanya dapat menguasai yakni dimensi autonomy dan self-acceptance. Penting bagi layanan kesehatan untuk memperhatikan kesejahteraan psikologis tidak hanya pada pasien namun juga pada keluarganya.

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease that causes sufferers to need care assistance from family caregivers. The burden can affect family caregiver psychological well-being. This study aimed to get an overview of the psychological well-being of family caregivers in the age 20-21 years who are still college students. The subjects in this study were three individuals consisting of two women and one man. This research was conduct with a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data in this study were collect using a semi-structured interview method. The results of this study show a different overview of psychological well-being in each subject. This study succeeded in describing the dimensions of psychological well-being of the majority of subjects, namely the dimensions of personal growth, environmental mastery, positive relations, and puspose in life. However, there are two dimensions in which not all of the three subjects in this study could master the dimensions of autonomy and self-acceptance. It is important for health services to pay attention to psychological well being not only in patients but also in the patients’ family.
